Description

As the national tree of New Caledonia, this palm is famous for its new fronds that emerge red in color, hence the Flamethrower nickname. There is a green form that does not have the red leaf trait. The palms are off to a great start. The watermelon variation is exhibited when trunking. The crownshaft and trunk appear speckled similar to the skin of watermelon.
